Tasty Thursday: Slater's 50/50

Most people love a good burger. I know I do. We needed our burger fix so hubby, friends and I went to Slater's 50/50 for their scrumptious burgers.

Slater's 50/50 is home of the 50/50 burger-- 50% ground beef, 50% bacon. Yes, bacon. If you love bacon, you will love this burger. It is located in Northeast Orange County in the city of Anaheim Hills. It's in the corner of a shopping plaza off Santa Ana Canyon Road.

They give you their menu on this clipboard so that you can design your burger. If you're not sure what to get, you should ask them for suggestions.

One notable thing about Slater's is that they weigh their burgers AFTER cooking them so you know you are getting a good deal for the price.

You must get their appetizer combination plater with all five sides (french fried potatoes, sweet potato fries, friend pickle chips, onion strings, friend artichoke hearts) and sharing is also a must.

The guys also wanted to try the macaroni and cheese with bacon bits. Creamy, tasty, cheesy... perfection.

The interior is brightly lit, clean, with plenty of tables and flat screen tv's on the walls to watch your favorite sports channel. Friends definitely enjoyed the mac n cheese.
